Loving angry teenagers
When your teenager is angry, give them space AND don't pay any attention to how you think you should behave. Take a breath. No expectations. Speak to them with love and strength, and relish doing so. It's not about you. You are a caretaker, and they are of the world. They will remember your love.

When something happens to your body, such as an external injury (however minor) pay attention.

Don't overwater your plants
Indoor plants sometimes get over-watered. The solution is often to pay attention. If you perceive you're not paying attention, here's an exercise:
Sit down with a pen and paper and write freely for 5-10 minutes.
Now look at your words and see what themes have shown themselves. It's likely the most pressing themes for you at the moment have reared their heads.
Address these themes; find some steps you can take towards resolving these issues.
Now go and look at your plants and decide if they really need water.

Pumpernickel
Pumpernickel bread is heavy, sweet, and doesn't have much gluten. It goes well with a lot of stuff. Two easy, nutritious whole food, plant-based ideas:

Beauty doesn't fade
Beauty doesn't fade as we age.
Our definition of beauty fades with the past, and we see a new definition so that it's no longer a story of beauty as the world tells it. We see the lines on faces as glorious signs of having lived a life.

Sing after dinner
When you've eaten dinner, it's a good idea to sing.
With others or by yourself, it doesn't really matter.
When we sing, we breathe, and our voice resonates through our body.
This changes our physiology and our state of mind.

Plant a flower
When it feels like summer's on its last legs, thank and compost the dying tomato plants and withered mint, and plant a plant that will flower in autumn. If you don't have a garden, find a pot. Dig up or borrow a 'weed' from the roadside. Weeds are only weeds in name.

Open the window. Even if the air is polluted, open the window. It will remind you of the state of the world outside. It might even provoke ideas about ways to change it.
If the air outside is great, breathe deeply, and be grateful. Your body will thank you.

Get on your knees
Get on your hands and knees and clean the floor with an old towel, some vinegar or natural cleaner. There's nothing subservient about this. It's good for the ego to be on your knees.
If you don't want to clean your floor in this fashion because your knees are sore or you think you're too old, get on your knees once a day anyway. Try child's pose, or praying to whomever or whatever you see fit.
